I bought 4 pallets of wrap and a pallet of netwrap and put away for this season last autumn as with weak pound I think it's bound to have been money well spent as everything's going up in price

I think it'll start around £55/56 for good quality black 750mm and move up as the season progresses. Whilst there is a lot of leg lifting this time of year, input costs (Dowlex etc) have definitely gone up. The interesting point this year, I believe, will be UK produced V's European produced. UK producers may well have an advantage based on GBP positioning but the other intriguing point will be how many European producers actually want to put product into UK - it's a notoriously competitive, difficult market compared with their home patch and if they can't compete they may well stick with their domestic markets, that could then cause a potential UK shortage. As ever it will be interesting!

I had a quote the other day, £64/roll including VAT that was for green 750 silowrap. Also picked up 27 rolls of White 500mm for 40/roll +Vat the other day. With the 500 sometimes it's a case of grab it while you can.
Thats a good price,£53.33 for green 750 is that old stock.Hopefully it wont be £60 for new stock, just looked at last years I paid £44 at start of season then £50 for a few rolls late on.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
