Well we often hear of the bad deals,I would like to report the good ones!
Over the past few years I have sold our Suffolk/mules privately on here to different members of the Forum ,sometimes unseen, sometimes with payment deals struck I would never dream of doing with others outside the Forum.
So all in good it's a good place to be!

Just be careful everyone. Just because you think you know someone off here it doesn't mean they're 100% straight.

I should stress that I've never had any issues when doing business with other forum members but you never know. I have become quite untrusting having been caught out a couple of times, luckily small amounts.

Quite agree, if crooks were obvious, they wouldn't be very successful.

Until I know someone pretty well, everyone is a stranger, particularly on the internet or social media.

When I was in the courts I only saw the start of it, but the number of people taken in by internet deals is remarkable. I include lawyers in this, one I know well bought a horse box online and paid before collecting...:banghead:.

Fortunately his professional skills were useful in recovering the money, which he did, but this fellow is very bright and not in the least gullible. It turned out that the account 'selling' the box had been hacked and was used while its true owner was away, hence the good feedback.

The best rule is just don't pay without seeing the goods, ever. Lots of people do deals with someone once, and all is well; then... the second deal is done on trust and that trust is abused.

Just sold three rams through the forum and both parties have been happy and trusting, it's often the folk you know who will shaft you faster than any stranger

There are plenty of nice people and some real anuses in real life, so it would be surprising if both types did not inhabit internet forums too.
Yet to meet one of the latter as a result of this place though.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
