Barn Repair and/or Demolition Contractor

As I recall, there are a couple of inmates here who dabble in steel work and old buildings....

Following Storm Arwen effectively destroying one end of a 7 Bay Dutch Barn, I have been asked if I know anyone who could demolish it and remove the steel, as part of an Insurance job...

Plan B was to look at a partial repair, but TBH the roof is now so knackered, I am unsure if it's even worth it.

Would love to hear from anyone with pointers or suggestions for a a Contractor.

Based just North of Telford, 6mins from J6 on the M54.

Sure I've heard of someone saying they partially cut through the uprights and pulled it over from one end with the tractor. Only be any good if it was going for scrap and had a tin roof, plus space around it.
Before the TFF safety department reply it wasn't me and I won't be trying it either.

It's worth speaking to a local plant hire firm in case they have a demolition department.

When I removed some barns (including a dutch barn) a few years ago it was far far cheaper to have a plant hire firm in with a 360 with all the required attachments and take it down that way piece by piece with the grab/shears and it turned out a much better job because they just loaded the tin into an artic bulker, the wood in a pile to recycle, and the girders stacked also.

Google turns up a few options in your area.

Good idea..... Not one I had thought about. I do have a good relationship with a local outfit.

TBH, that would have been my "go to" option as well, 10mins with a gas axe, and down she comes!! Unfortunately, I am space restricted!
