Bateman Draftweigh

Hi all
Nearly done a deal on a new Bateman draftweigh with tru test suspension cell and Ezi weigh 5 display unit. Does anybody have any experience with said machine? Don’t know anybody locally with one and Can’t find any videos online? We sell 1000 lambs finished over the season and from July to November are weighing a given number of lambs weekly during this time period. Any opinions would be much appreciated.

is it ritchey draftpro by any chance ? looks very similar...

We have a Ritchey draftpro and as BtT says it looks very similar. A few teething issues with zeroing but now sorted we are happy. Much quicker to weigh than old analog dial type and correlates pretty well with weights back from abattoir.

I believe it was a new product to Bateman in early 2019, but yes it does look ver similar to the Ritchey.

Why wouldn't you get one with an Eid reader with a better weight head that'll tell you live weight gain etc so you could track performance rather than just weight on that day?

Bit of patent purchasing gone on I suspect, slightly different , square cornered up lifting door but same rrp. price as well to be competitive I guess
Bateman stuff is a good build I've found. Should be all good I would think.

About an extra £1800 roughly speaking for a panel reader and higher spec weighhead from what I gather.

If it was on the grant scheme that would be a bit easier to bite off and chew I guess.
