We have a 20 yr old Challenger that needs a new earth lead making up. Anybody know of any firms that will do such a thing, it is good thick cable with 2 battery connectors and I would prefer a proper job rather than what we could probably do in the workshop.

is this heavy enough

should carry 170 amps not sure how that compares. Is the Challenger 12 or 24Volt ?
not sure if that would be big enough for 12 volt

He probably has 50 or 70mm2 cable. 25 is more car sized?

Biggest wires you can find and.....

I crimp them in the vice and use the point of a drive in gate hinge to apply the final nip.

edit I have a pair of jump leads made out of the power lead on a HGV tail lift. Both wires are red!

Have a look on Kramp, Granit Spares etc, they all have different ready made cables, or the bits to make one, just make sure you get a heavy enough duty one. At least 50mm2 or bigger cable.

I have one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEAVY-DU...L-LUG-HAMMER-VICE-CRIMPING-TOOL-/232624788160

I crimp them up with this then run a bit of solder in as well then cover with heat shrink.

I don't and won't skimp. That's why I want it done right.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Googling there is a firm called 'AT Leads and Looms'
I will give Beds battery a ring as we have an account there, but a company into fixing plant/lorries might be better than one more into cars.
