Are they good in general or are the batteries always dead when you need them for the odd dirty arse so you end up using hand shears anyway??

Also, Wynnstay are selling one with three batteries, anyone got one and are they any good compared to the ones from horners?

I really rate the Heiniger Saphir with a 'blocking' blade for tidying beasts up. Powerful enough to get through most muck and light too. If they are caked in muck, I'd go for a Horner Razor. Wouldn't bother with a traditional clipper setup, ends up smearing muck around.

Ive got a "Welsh Shearing Equipment" one,and i think its good. 3 batteries with it.It says 1 hour for each one,but i think it does far more.Handy to carry on the bike for ewes before the clippers got here. Now using it for the odd lamb...................i fecking hate blowflies..............

Bought a Lister one 6 months ago , sold as a horse clipper but you can fit combs and cutters for sheep . Battery is on a belt and cable to hand piece. Does the job , crutched 30 lambs last week ( all I had to do)on a battery charge but it was flashing so not going to do many more . Would nt shear a sheep with it but handy for what I do and wife uses it for ponies/ horses ( different comb/ cutters)and not heard that it was no good.
No time now , but can see what model it is later if anyone wants to know.

Masterclip here, 100 times better than hand shears for dirty tails away from home. Still think there all made in China, l have a rambo electric hand piece one as well, it brilliant.
