Cummings has just said ' he is thinking of launching a political party ' to oust the present government

Question ...Would you vote for his party ?

No . Interestingly most people texting in the radio station I was listening to, where very much against him ratting on the government and were surprised he wasnt subject to the official secrets act.
Thats not to say I don’t think Boris has been very economical with the truth and will get caught out eventually

I'm surprised he'd think that this is a good way to launch a political party.

I would not vote for a party that was founded by Cummings, he's a clever tactician, the Brexit campaign is an example of that.
He knows all too well how to tell people what he wants them to hear and in a way that they want to hear it.

Cummings is showing himself to be just what he clearly always was. He has as much chance of gaining political power as Jeremy Corbyn.

However, his tales of Boris’ bungling can surely be no surprise to anyone either. Neither have ever had any business being anywhere near the reins of power in government and it’s a poor reflection on our political system, and the voting public frankly, that they’ve ever had the chance to embellish their CVs in such a fashion.😡

He recognises how dysfunctional governments are (and he has had a grandstand view) and appears to want to piece together a plan for a better way. This isn’t about upending a government for some sort of political gain. People like DC are ‘thinkers’. They are not media stars, people people and all that. They love working through a problem and finding a solution. I have worked with a few. Unfortunately when other people cannot see what they see they implode through frustration which is what he is doing at the moment.
A book was published last year called ‘Hurry Up and Stop’ by John Barber that examined our negative legacy in relation to the climate, finances and wellbeing. Under the section regarding barriers to change it identifies our political system as a major factor. That isn’t to knock any particular party it just challenges us to think about whether there is a better way. A big driver of decisions is the short term nature of our political cycles.
I suspect his aim would be to create a party of people who are competent to carry out key roles on our behalf (as you would in a business).

I didn’t watch it all but very interesting what he said about Cary Symmonds manipulating a lot of policies and decisions.
He also went up in my estimations a lot when he said that a jack of all trades won’t work so get people from within each sector/industry who know what it’s about to run that position instead of getting people with no idea on a industry to head it.
In other news he’s still a pr*ck but he’s gone higher up the cactus 🌵👍🏻

He seems to be a bit deranged. The BBC have no business exploiting him in their quest to destroy the Government.

And as @silverfox said, he must have signed the official secrets' act. He should be locked up.

So you think that the state owned media are out to destroy the incumbent government that allows them to exist/makes funding them more or less compulsory?

It's much easier than that:

Watched the interview on Catchup last night although it was close turning it off for Kuennssberg as much as Cummings

He took all the glory for the result of Brexit and also agreeing the pact and deciding who led the Country Gove or Johnson

Very nasty character and who the heck does he think he is?

Agree totally with your 2nd para. The House of Commons is largely populated by professional politicians, in the sense that "professional" means that they know no other occupation than politics.

Once upon a time, there were always numerous MP's who had worked for living before getting elected. Nowadays, they will tell you they "work in industry", because they do a One day a Month Consultancy for a tidy sum...

Or you have hangers on like Useless George who "understands farming" because some of the family members farm... I have heard him, and am not convinced... ;)

Read an article in the Field years ago that listed the previous occupations of those entitled to sit in the Lords, amongst financial, commercial and industrial captains of industry, there were a couple of farmers and a knackerman. :giggle:
