Did anyone else hear the BBC Radio 4 Appeal for donations yesterday by Monty Don for the Soil Association?
I thought it was all a bit strange and desperate. Monty looking for money to set up in field soil labs to monitor and fix the damage farmers have done.
It seems odd and unworthy, has it really come to this?
I can't see people racing to donate, but especially when later in the day we had a real appeal by DEC for the floods in Pakistan.

I heard it a few days ago, thought it was appalling that the BBC should promote this and add yet another crisis to the list😡

It's bad enough that we've each paid the BBC a license fee, which then allows the useless pansies to rattle the tin for what amounts to a quasi religious cult.

The BBC always crow about their 'impartiality'. That red line gets crossed every day, it's time to defund the BBC.

Just stop paying.

Fill out a “no licence needed form” and enjoy life without all the imagined horrors that the metropolitan bedwetters breathlessly beam into our houses in order to give their empty lives purpose.

Life’s better without them, unless of course you’ve a penchant for sewing, drag queens, baking or drag queens baking or sowing. Coz last time I looked that was over 50% of the output 🤣

I would pay licence to listen to BBC Radio alone, yes has it many faults but plenty good stuff there too. Ye cannae beat a wicket at the cricket or a wee World Service documentary to pass the time.
You don’t need licence for radio, only the telly.

I’m not sure that’s correct.
Infact I’m pretty sure it’s not, it has been discussed on here in the past but I’m sure you are supposed to have a licence/pay a fee for a radio in a public place,. That could include the farm workshop, milking parlour or possibly even a tractor.
Can’t remember exactly how the discussion went or any exact details, think my opinion of it was similar to most others, another load of bollox to ignore but technically ................
