If he does, be interesting to hear what’s discussed and how many sustainability officers have flown in specially. My brother might be…currently doing a phd on Fusarium at Uni of California.
Lots I imagine! He is in Davis, about 2 hours inland from SF.If he does, be interesting to hear what’s discussed and how many sustainability officers have flown in specially.
I’ve been twice as an adult and remember it being quite hard to walk any significant distance once out of town/city centres. That and the size of the food portions!Lots I imagine! He is in Davis, about 2 hours inland from SF.
Americans and transport are really weird. They use aeroplanes like taxis.
They drive EVERYWHERE though the traffic is awful and the accident rate is off the scale. Yet even though there is a train station in Davis with hourly services that go direct to San Fran the trains are normally empty. My brother says he gets the train into the city sometimes and passenger numbers can be in the single figures.
Try and tell an American that you’re taking the train somewhere and they pull faces, try and talk you out of it and give you all the reasons why it won’t work. It’s almost as if you’ve told them you’re planning on going 100 miles by moped. It’s bizarre.
Did we visit Davis?I’ve been twice as an adult and remember it being quite hard to walk any significant distance once out of town/city centres. That and the size of the food portions!
