Bean emergence

How fast have beans been emerging. I got some drilled this week, but the weather stopped application of the pre-em. Just wondering how long I have ?
The linseed that I got in last week has been really slow, 8 days and not up yet, I would have expected 6 days at the end of April. Plenty of moisture, but the soil must be unusually cold.

Air temperature ,rain temperature and soil temperature is lower than normal so emergence will be slow

If it is wet pre em damage can be very severe in 2012 it cost 1 tonne of beans

How deep did you drill them?

2 inch was the deepest I could get them with the Big Disc when the soil was that wet.

As @yellow belly says above, despite the recent hot spell, I don't think soil temps are where they would normally be, the latest rain will hold things back a bit as well. The beans I drilled a week ago today had 1/4 inch chits on them yesterday, pre-em was on Thursday evening, they were drilled between 2-3 inches deep so I wouldn't think they will emerge for another week at least yet. 20 acres I drilled around the 23rd of March (wish I hadn't) got soaked with all the rain we then had, they didn't emerge for almost a month, and they are still emerging though quite a lot I think may have rotted or wont make it out of the ground!
