Anyone know what rates would be for wintering suckler cows in Northern Ireland?

Who supplies labour?
Who pays for water?

Everything supplied by shed owner. Have heard 1.20 or 1.30 per cow per day, would that seem fair?

Far too cheap if your supplying feed, bedding and labour.
Bale of silage worth £20, will be eaten by 20 cows in a day, so there’s £1 gone.

No chance, I'd say,, £10-£12 per week round here, I know a cpl of guys who will do it cheaper but your cows would need to grow long necks.

You are correct but B&B in N.I. is generally cheaper than mainland especially this year with lots of forage that otherwise would struggle to be sold.

I know a chap currently paying £10 per week for dry dairy cows

Like most things in farming now if your not doing it yourself their won’t be anything left or if their is it will be crumbs nowt worth the risk.
