Bedding livestock on peat

Any thoughts or experience of this? From what I read it makes great bedding, not sure of the legalities of harvesting peat for bedding?

Could cart some in fresh in the spring and let it dry out on the shed floor ready for housing in the winter.

Looks great stuff, I wonder if they can still get it, have they not stopped peat harvesting over there?

dont know but yhey will stop everything in time and we will all go on the dole!

we used it for the last couple of years but it’s got very expensive good bedding cattle stayed clean on it but it’s hard to store the dung as it won’t stack up like straw
