We have available a position for a calf rearer and beef unit assistant.
We are located in the Leicestershire/ Warwickshire borders
Our herd of cattle consists of a 250 head intensive finishing unit. We also have a spring calving Suckler herd consisting of 100 head of grazing animals.
Duties would include assisting with
Calf rearing ( 50 calves in batches)
Vaccinations and disbudding
Feeding and bedding of 200 high performance growing and finishing animals
Feeding with TMR rations
Bedding down
Weighing and monitoring performance
Mucking out.
Previous experience with cattle is preferred,
We are a friendly forward thinking family farm who work to very high standards.
All machinery is modern and maintained to a very high standard.
The successful candidate should be able to work to the highest standards and be thorough and trustworthy in their duties.
