A lot of crop being picked up here at the moment might take some pain out of the job-hopefully being the operative word

Forage is going to be short in most parts of the UK no doubt it and that coupled with shortages of waste veg etc and straights/ blends/ grain etc going up in price almost weekly then stores can only go one way, not much confidence that the deadweight price will hold at its current level for long either.

With all this bad news doom and gloom the law of averages would say there’s got to be some great news coming soon!

Fat trade hasnt been so bad seeing as the good young cull cows have probably found there way into prime. I cant see fat trade dropping much this winter and it has firmed abit which will help store trade. Young stores have been less money for the last two autumns but with all the culls you would have to think next year there could be a shortage imo. There's bound to be alot more cows culled as nobody wants passengers this winter.
