Very disappointed with my lambs at Penrith today. Must be at least a £5 behind dead.

I'm pleased it's not only me that looks to see what different markets are charging :LOL:

Just another 'stealth tax' that sneaks up in the deductions on your ticket, from time to time. It's amazing what they dream up - the deductions bit often takes up more lines than the sales on mine(n)

We should run a competition on here to see which market is the most creative*/greedy*

Here's my entry from a well known Nottinghamshire venue.......

Having just seen the end of Corbyns speech, I think he’ll need a line in there as well to pay for everything

If poor trade we should take them home again. It just drags the price down week on week. I appreciate that its easier said than done after all the work, but prices only go low because farmers are prepared to sell at that prices.

I’ve done that before. Thought about if today, but my normal deadweight buyer hasn’t returned my calls which unnerved me to bring them home. And over stocked so needed them gone. So it was pants down and bend over

Big Market in Hereford today. Most breeding ewes i have seen on catalogue.Best ewes bid well for perhaps back a touch on last year but plenty of smaller than usual yearlings due to weather under 100s. Are too many ewe lambs being kept? Store lamb trade looked good again weather pulling them back but those with potential being well bred a good trade despite condition.

11,000 were due there?
Have you got anymore of a breakdown? From what I’ve heard the market report that comes out on the Thursday is a bit high compared to what stuff actually made the day before... the £head given on the culls is that top price or average for each breed?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
