You have 3 options

1 Sell at these markets

2 A couple of local collection centres

3 Sell deadweight.

And that's it.

Problem is if you sell deadweight and the lambs are overweight and or overfat they will get hammered and make less than the local livestock market prices.

or a few local markets and get your fingers burnt even worse when the buyers share them out , or buy to take to sedge a few weeks later

Will be money to be made on old ewes you would think!?, fleshy ewes are still ok trade. Don't think brexit will put the dampners on them come april. You can pick up good mule feeders for around 40/45£. Don't seem crazy at that.

Things look encouraging for the suckled calf sales anyways....i see Darlington had a sale yesterday, small calves £12/1300....many vendors showing increased averages on the year.

I’ll add some positive as well. Carlisle’s average was up for prime lambs yesterday, (from report, I wast there) and Wigton were asking for lambs last night on facebook “at buyers request”

Slightly misleading post, Darlington did have a good sale but some of the suckled calfs were halter led show potential and the averages would be £800ish at best.
