It was crap for really good heavies! At least it was for mine,£93 for 61kg,and £94 for 55kg:(. My Swales were not too bad though,£75.50 for 41kg.I only paid £18 for them in November.
Longtown a really good trade. Not enough quality about. Suited me.View attachment 796782

I was chuffed with mine. Second last in. Numbers down 50% on the week. Maybe I went a week too soon. Grass only and only 6 out of 92 with teeth up. Last sold. Made very little difference to price.

You had the best trade of the day from what i saw. They went right up at the end.Buyers must have realised there was not as many in.I am usually near the end,but they put me in the bloody ballot.I only got there at 11am. I wondered why they had left the first alley till the end. The Riley lad is buying for Shan.Who are they? He turned up just for the start of the Hoggs in a brand new Audi A6. I dont think ive ever seen a buyer in a crap car.

And still don’t know who you are :scratchhead:

Did you see the buyers faces when the big ugly, all balls and horns, tup came in near the end after they got all excited at my first pen, as they where all ewe hogs and obviously bought for breeders.:whistle:

All things considered it sounds like you had a decent trade on those Angus(y)

What made £250 head?

Small cattle sound very cheap for this time of year at £450/500 head!

Cant see how anyone can keep a suckler cow for 12 months in the long term returning those prices:(

What ages were the Blues?
