Store cattle still doing OK? And what was store lamb like
Store cattle were the dearest they have ever been and up on the last two weeks red hot trade, only things struggling were the very poor out of age/ breed sorts but having said that a run of Limx steers around the 44 months age mark that were still another 120 days off being ready for the one way trip sold easily around the £700/750 price mark, Fri steer trade was just off the charts.
Stirks the same, trade well up on the week for suckler bred sorts, steers would be £60/70 head dearer than a month ago and heifers up £20 head on the week with anything half decent £690, small dairy stuff possible a shade cheaper due to the time of year!
No idea on Store lambs as the farce that they are still sold on Friday afternoons is still happening even thou its fine to have a poultry sale for small holders on Saturdays again!
