No, it’s plenty early for us really....I’ve got 10 bullocks gathered up so far...I’ll just fiddle away all winter....not going to blow our brains out just to have themdid you get any ?
Will post a pic tomorrow. What will trade do? Was told fat will go up in November. Like to get a few in early when weather is still decent. No, it’s plenty early for us really....I’ve got 10 bullocks gathered up so far...I’ll just fiddle away all winter....not going to blow our brains out just to have them
I wouldn’t like to guess...trade usually firms in November for xmas but it’s hardly grim currentlyWill post a pic tomorrow. What will trade do? Was told fat will go up in November. Like to get a few in early when weather is still decent.
No meant stores following fat if you catch my drift.I wouldn’t like to guess...trade usually firms in November for xmas but it’s hardly grim currently
They’ll go up when the brown envelopes appear then go back down when everyone’s blown it....No meant stores following fat if you catch my drift.
You can bet your bottom dollar that store cattle will go up near December the first so if anyone is planning on buying any soon I would personally buy them before then rather than after
Yes I can imagine it will. Store cattle can often lift £100/£150 after the first. There’s people make money out of buying before and selling after.Rumour now doing the rounds is that the BPS payment will be delayed for most claiment's this year as the staff working on the scheme are working from home and are not office based.
Christ Guthrie do you ever have any good newsRumour now doing the rounds is that the BPS payment will be delayed for most claiment's this year as the staff working on the scheme are working from home and are not office based.
Fancy one of them but never get many round here.Bought some Texel Beltex cross tups at Longtown today. Sale got dearer as the day went on folks were choosy. Plenty of folks bidding hard for the better end.
They are hard to buy the right ones. The ones with frame skin and shape are a pain to buy.Fancy one of them but never get many round here.
How did you get on with those cracking Char calves @Shebb90 ??
Lovely calves and a real credit to your stockmanship/ breeding.

What was the crack on the store lamb trade today?
Not in any reports I’ve read....AHDB report this evening shows increases in market prices for just about everything. Lambs back over 200p and ewes up a lot which is well overdue as the numbers of meaty ewes have been low compared with the grazers.
Cattle also all up today so no sign of any collapse as was being suggested, numbers are not there.
Read AHDB market report for today. Not in any reports I’ve read....
Ive read all the local marts and none showing an increaseRead AHDB market report for today.
