I didn’t weigh them...they’ll be sold finished off grass in April

That’s where we need to end up. We can’t afford to cart everything for 40 plus miles on wagons. We will need to grow some roots here. Not easy to get into that system when chasing grass/room

Yes good skins, thought they’d be good to sell in April....they were £72. Happy to gamble at that price

First time at longtown store sale since august. Had some lambs to drop off to go on a wagon so took 20 to top the load off. They seamed hellish dear to me. The smaller the dearer they got! i would think they will be up on the week but don’t know with not being there previous weeks. Sadly only 2 buyers left when I went through at the end but still satisfied for what they were. Would have been couple of quid more earlier on.

Those lambs you bought in the pics above were very cheap on the trade, they would easily be £10 head more down here currently if not even more than that!

Most people don't seem to drag it out the Shed untill at least April in this part of the world for grassland!

Pleased I didn’t take mine. Probably this colder weather has pushed folks on. I was there with lambs last week. I was surprised how many good heavy lambs were in compared to earlier weeks. Did you have blackies in?

I’ve wasted thousands of pounds putting fert on in March here. Far too early.
