I agree with you, the earlier you can get some fert on the grazing ground for sheep grazing the better but down here few grass farmers venture out with the Fert spinner untill April!

Even the arable boys don't put much on untill the end of March!
We like it on before we start lambing if conditions are right, every year is different but if we can get on then we wouldn’t be waiting till April,

Pleased I didn’t take mine. Probably this colder weather has pushed folks on. I was there with lambs last week. I was surprised how many good heavy lambs were in compared to earlier weeks. Did you have blackies in?
20 tail end mules £69.50 the sort of lambs that I wouldn’t dare put on the wagon when the rest went in august privately. They had grown away canny just ran round on grass.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
