What is Waitrose native breed at the moment?
Current Waitrose Dovecote park, £3-95 Hereford £4-10 angus £4-40 organic. Now coop through Dunbia are offering £4-10 for Hereford. It's all going just one way, long may it last .
I didn't know, have Angus gone up 5p too?, or are they , at long last reducing the diff between hfd and Angus again? Still way behind Dunbia, they are going to need to get shifting, at 250 a week Dunbia are going to impact heavily on Dovecotes supply of Hfds.No hereford was £4/kg last wk

There is a list of traditional breeds morrisons takes on this site http://www.herefordcattle.org/documents/Morrisons Scheme.pdf`
My contract could be coming to an end due to expansion of the company it goes to so just wonderd do Morrisons, Co-op, Waitrose etc pay on other natives such as Galloway, Luing and Whitebred Shorthorn. Just thinking of changing Angus Bull for a Luing to get smaller hardier heifers and keep the Shorthorn as the main terminal sire. Somebody finishes them for me and he sells in decent numbers so should suit buyers if they fit the bill.
