What made £250 head?

Small cattle sound very cheap for this time of year at £450/500 head!

Cant see how anyone can keep a suckler cow for 12 months in the long term returning those prices

What ages were the Blues?

A very small lean char, looked healthy enough, but didn't look right if you know what I mean.
Blues were 24 months from memory,

I think it will be alot of years before we see last years prices again,if ever.It will be interesting to see how people will market their lambs this season.Will everything go as soon as they hit 40kg or so "in spec",even in the glut in September/October for £60,or still keep them through the Winter?

Numbers down by 50% in some places this week so prospect is good

Ewes are back £12-15 on the year and there back in numbers

Booked some in for Woodheads next week on Tuesday and they suggested booking the next lot in as well as they were getting more cattle offered and were filling up fast.

I think a lot of the firm's buy the ewes before and the last week is usually the worst
