I've asked before to waive weight limit or pay a few pence more if I've helped them out or if there desperate for cattle
Na was ABP
I think Angus have to go on a wednesday with ABP EllesmereBoss sent some to pickstocks week before last on a Tuesday with couple of cull cows. Killed on Wednesday. After numerous email and texts, the kill sheets for Angus eventually come at tail end of last week and said to be killed with normal clean cattle and no bonus paid.
Rep said Angus only killed on Fridays. News to us, never been a problem before and he knew what was on the wagon.
Dalchirla to Midlock,Allanfauld and GlenrathWho sold that 200 grand tup?
Would all these breeds come under an R4l average thoughThe Aberdeen Angus price is included in these as is all premium price cattle like shorthorn or Hereford schemes.
What you had been told is very similar too what our local big beef finisher told me. “Never ring them with cattle, wait till they ring me begging for an artic or two. Then we start negotiating” he’s not a multi millionaire for nothing... he’ll think nothing too holding cattle back for a month then sending 100 in one hit when they bid right. Must be great too be in that position! It doesn’t really matter. I was just relaying what I thought was useful information
Abp (southern counties) pay AA premium later I think, but they need to be under 360 kgNa was ABP
Abp Perth all paid within days .pay in full to 400kg . -5p for every 10kg up to 420.go over that an they are same price as clean.Abp (southern counties) pay AA premium later I think, but they need to be under 360 kg
It would be a nice treat if the new girl paid all the clean on AA price,do you think they would get many callsAbp Perth all paid within days .pay in full to 400kg . -5p for every 10kg up to 420.go over that an they are same price as clean.
Its sorted now, new girl in the office paid them on clean price with no premium.hope everyone else checked there kill sheet properly that week!

People must know something I don't about the lamb job..... Many in? Did you see any cull ewes sold? One hell of a store lamb trade today!
Small lambs would be up anything from £5 to £10 head on last week, the rest up £2 on the week, most of the small long keep lambs ( ie : Some that wont make the distance type lambs around 10/15 kilos weight ) would be anything from £59/68 head, the worse it was bred the better it was sold!
Also one hell of a store cattle trade, well up on last week and very dear for this time of year.
Stirks again a very solid trade and well up on the week, suckler cattle especially well up and looking very well sold on the week, trade for these type of Cattle V Exeter yesterday would be anything from £50/ to £100 head dearer today than at Exeter yesterday, esp for the top end suckler bred cattle.
Don’t let it worry you. I’m thinking the same...People must know something I don't about the lamb job.....
Yes , cant work it out. thought this year would be a major wind down on the sheep towards now , maybe the cliff is coming , who knows .People must know something I don't about the lamb job..... Many in? Did you see any cull ewes sold?

Local haulier has had his deckers and wagons and drags leading sheep in to kill full time for months now. Drivers all out of time so he’s been putting one a week through their test to double shift the wagons plus between four and six artic deckers hired in full time every week.Don’t let it worry you. I’m thinking the same...
