The smaller they were the dearer they were by the looks but with darlo reporting finished bulls too £1900 and steers/hfrs £1600 then these smart stores have got to be up around the £1000Words to describe the suckled calf trade today....
Mental
Bonkers
Insane
Off the clock
Dangerous
Bankrupting
Justifiable for the breeder
Whos he buying for?Ua stirling stores all well up danny w buying a lot, big or small especially number 5. He seems the main dealer there.
Just outside Longtown.I thought sheep in the south would have more grass to eat, milder, dryer climate. As a lot of lmbs will go south all of them, unless they go east to Aberdeenshire. Fisher was buying bf lmbs today isn't around Longtown he comes from.
Aye,sh!te here, and cold with it.The weather here ain’t doing the sheep any favours. Wet and clash
He used to bring some numbers of sheep in back in the day. That shedder outside at the back of the mart we always said it was put in for himJust outside Longtown.
No use at the moment stock has had some stick lately so have the ones working with them in it at least we come in of a night thoughAye,sh!te here, and cold with it.

How can finished bulls get to £1900!?The smaller they were the dearer they were by the looks but with darlo reporting finished bulls too £1900 and steers/hfrs £1600 then these smart stores have got to be up around the £1000
We have had to bite the bullet today and put some lambs on feed. They are nearly fit and 38 - 45 kg just not there and we are running out of the fresh green stuff. No use at the moment stock has had some stick lately so have the ones working with them in it at least we come in of a night though
Cold and wet here. Wet grass with lack of feed in it. If the weather would just behave things would be so much betterWe have had to bite the bullet today and put some lambs on feed. They are nearly fit and 38 - 45 kg just not there and we are running out of the fresh green stuff.
Aye we have laid some lambs inside, turnips about underwater and their looking fed up. Heavy rain forecast all week, bike struggling to travel on our wetter land today[emoji852]
I think it was discussed on here not long ago and the bulls could have been 800kg+ and were being bought by the jewish crew i think. They dont have weight limits and want value for money! How can finished bulls get to £1900!?
What weights were they?
