I dont think the lambs are there, they were supposed to be £50 per head in January so everyone has got rid!So what’s predictions for Monday ? Markets flooded or skies the limit £3/kg?

Even if they are they won’t be very fit.I don't think the lambs are about to flood the markets..
Its not like the autumn sales now..
Exactly who in the hell will have big numbers finished in January, doesn’t take a genius. No way will they be flooded. Shite weather, people drew hard before brexit, lambs short nationally and no one was targeting lambs for January. The jobs going to be good for a while me thinks.
I think sometimes people forget they have to be finished!Exactly who in the hell will have big numbers finished in January, doesn’t take a genius.
Dont know about fat but store cattle were 8Price better hold , can't touch my hoggs till end of this month.
Is cattle price rising too?
The way store cattle were selling in Ludlow today I'm guessing the fat is going to rise.......!!! They were £120-150/head up on the last sale in December........We were on £3.76 last week but not spoke to anyone since.wondered if it was up this week.
Everything will be costing £20 here to get finished at least I would sayI think sometimes people forget they have to be finished!
Everyone said that about the last ones boughtif stores are up that much good luck to the buyers they will need it!
toucheEveryone said that about the last ones bought

Banks seemed to be pushing anything to do with pigs last few yearsExeter Livestock Centre (8th January 2021) highlights from FB
112 Store Cattle to £1360
182 Calves to £402
212 Dairy to £2,100
992 Store Lambs to £130
42 Grazing Ewes to £130
116 Ewes & Lambs to £250
39 Orphan Lambs to £40
959 Breeding Ewes to £178
123 Pigs to £92
( pig price looking pretty sick !)
I think that’s what will always limit the price, I personally wouldn’t sell my ewe lambs for £200 as they’re worth too much to me.
Does anyone know what the figures are for kill numbers up to date, compared to last years?
I’m thinking the same lambs have been moved to roots and haven’t done, and on a rising trade people sit on what they’ve got! And those who did this week have earnt £14 / head on the deadweight aloneThere’s still massive numbers of sheep laid up on roots and such like but maybe less than normal
Does anything do in January unless it is in a shed. Harsh weather for anything outside at the moment.I’m thinking the same lambs have been moved to roots and haven’t done, and on a rising trade people sit on what they’ve got! And those who did this week have earnt £14 / head on the deadweight alone
