I watched some of Bentham sale and I know the camera angle is such that it is very difficult to assess the size of the lambs but I thought some of the good Texels in the mid £80's were not very dear.
An increase of only £7.77 on the year would be less than the increase in the finished sales by a significant amount. I didn't see many small lambs sold but as I say the camera angle makes it difficult and I would guess there were very few lambs under 32 kg and even the mule wethers looked well fleshed.

The benches on the ring sides are about knee height. That’s the best way too gauge size on the video at Bentham

How much?
Iv no idea yet iv not had paperwork through somebody bought them for me but there was 94 turned up and he had 11 grand too spend so too I’m guessing roughly £110 ish a head unless I’m getting change….

Never realised you were on such steep ground! :p :D
Haha iv got a few steep fields and they’re actually stock fences so I graze them early spring with lambs for easyness and late summer when I’m away baling and combining some I don’t have too worry too much about sheep escaping electric

I think these store lambs will be even dearer in a couple of weeks, everyone mowing second cut this week and there is going to be huge about of regrowth. I had 2 men on the phone this week want me to put lambs on in 3 weeks time because there clamps are full and don't want a third cut. Plus Iv got a mega crop of turnips to eat before winter wheat goes in. I will still sell my usual 500 strong store lambs in mid august though but may buy a load of smalls back in or some Suffolk/Texel cross ewe lambs that I can kill or keep in April like I did this year.

Depends where the fat trade goes.

Maybe but the demand is there for store lambs.
And store lamb sellers do need a good season after all, it not all sunshine and roses (not sure if that's a saying :ROFLMAO:) lambing ewes in the snow is it.
I suppose the fat trade will only really cool the 3/4 meat+ stores. The long termers will stay up Because as you say, there is a lot of confidence.
I wonder how much pure Hebrideans will be this time?! Might be the only way too get more than 12 too the grand! 😂😂

You might buy 12 to the grand but 2 will jump out of the flaps on the artic on the way down. 😂
