Trade was back a bit at Carlisle stores yesterday.Didnt seem to have the fire in it. James Little was selling, "come on,i dont know whats wrong with you today? Ive seen the fat reports from Darlington...........Thirsk............Northallerton...................Selby." .................carefully aimed at each buyer who sells fat cattle at those marts. Maybe the thought of £160 + / ton Barley is putting them off a bit.

How’s trade this year so far? or ?

Be a pretty bad job if they are down. We just sold some lambs today for £81, last year they made £58 for the same type off the same ewes!

Know the real top notch jobs are a serious trade but what are normal R grades making live with you? Are they as dear too.

Heard a rumour that the heifers averaged just over £3 pk at Darlington today (good source though) .........don’t think they would know what a R grade is though to be fair

Yes has a couple entered but didn’t get there with them probably for the best reading report they usually drop when arable boys have a job to do
