Can you get 'em all on your wagonJust seen this in Canada 73 in the ring at once.
Thinking back to the discussion about selling store cattle one at a time
Or do you want one of us to nip over to pick a few up

I don’t think so just seen it and thought it was of interest
No but they die well there...It makes a differenceIf Dunbia are on 5.70 that is well below other deadweight quotes!
Probably right. However if you have hundreds or thousands of cattle it will be easier to match a batch up rather then trying to match a few up out of a wagon load? What do you reckon?Thing is here you get paid on the quality of the animal so that why its very important to be able to see every store animal from all sides before you bid for them.
If you are paid on eating quality then it does not matter if you can see each and every animals backend etc if they are sold in very large groups like that when it would be impossible to see all animals from every angle in the store ring.
Sedgemoor...ha haWhere is that?
It’s quite often in Canada and America ect too have the beasts run in 1 gate and straight out the other gate with 100+ in a lot, and the next batch will of started running before the bidding is doneJust seen this in Canada 73 in the ring at once.

It must just be you Southerners! He was at Northallerton before he went to Skipton and I’ve bought cattle off him in both. I was pleasantly surprised at how good he was, keeps the job moving I hate listening to them drone on hanging on forever. Make your mind up bid or lose outWhen he's been going a bit I can get 'tuned in'. By the time I've got the measure of him, I've got all I want

That’s the problem I have, and it very important that I keep them below £100 with the quality I’m buying. By the way he a great young auctioneer. Iv just not got very good hearing at the best of times let a long someone with a strong northern accent. No doubting he's a good auctioneer.
He just has a word (I think he's saying 'pound and...') between his 'tens" and his 'ones" (eg 90 punder 5 )that sounds like 'hunder' and until you get used to it, you can think he's gone over 100.
An arable neighbour went with me for a look last week and couldn't understand a word he was saying
