My pal won’t use digestate, says it kills all the worms? He seen a field spread with it and there was a mineral bucket left and underneath it was a mass of worms trying to get away from the stuff

We looked at using it this year but a friend who uses a lot has lost some cows due to it so just bought some fert instead

I dont like the stuff but tbf my lagoons dirty water will bring worms to the top and make them wriggle like its killing them but dig down weeks later and the earths alive with them.

It maybe depends where it’s from. Shouldn’t be so bad off a farm you wouldn’t have thought but different those ones on waste

Very much depends what is going into the AD plant. Ag produce (silage/muck etc) going in should be perfectly fine coming out. Problem arises when some of these plants are using food and other waste products, then you have no idea what you are bringing onto your farm

AD plant just along the road , I’ve never taken it before though, not sure why
Get it free during winter but wouldn’t get on our ground with that kit in winter .

mine has to fo in an artic sadlly .

We were talking about this today. Not too many folks locally liking the idea of cows at the moment but it would seem that the likelihood of breeding cattle being any cheaper is unlikely

No, its solid it was Stacked in a pile in the corner and spread in april with a muck spreader .

Yes digestate is usually slurry that bloody stinks
That stuff looks more like Agrivert that Richard Taylor carts about human sh!t
