They are bit older than we would normally sell, and I always think this age is cheap compare to 6-7 weeks old if you work out pounds per day. If that makes sense. Not been in for two weeks but then they should do that , faily comfortable hopefully, but tomorrow is different day from then so who knows.

Was far too many sausages for my liking!

Asked for burgers but didn't get any.

Think the butcher kept a few steaks for himself!

Iv sent three lambs for home kill average deadweight weight 25.6kg/life, has cost £51.50 a lamb to kill/butcher, used to few years ago get it all done for £25-28 head, had everyone Sean such an increase?

I have just had 4 done and mine cost48 quid a head av 30kg

You add that onto value of a 52kg lamb and it becomes an expensive lamb in the freezer for the neighbors!

Mine were Texelx scaled up ones...they would have made not short of 150 quid today...Nearly 200 quid a head...av say 30kg of meat...thats 6.60kg how the hell do they do it

We had a couple of blues in Gisburn last Thursday, 11 weeks old, bull £500, heifer £395. Good trade for the better sorts just lately.

Bog standard midweek tea, that's all it's good for unless you buy a hi-spec one.

And it’s still chicken when alls said and done.
Came in to homemade chicken curry and rice tonight. Not had it for a couple of weeks, very enjoyable! Creamy curry, not one that burns the back of your throat out!

You get a grant in Scotland , we have had it for about 5or 6 years it’s called the beef calf subsidy …

I’m tight but I’d give him that at home! How many are heifers? Real suckler cow makers from my way of looking at things.
