First ones will be end of this month so not long to wait. I'll start killing straight away so in fairness most will probably be £1850/1900 but need them gone

Aye they’re in good order! Been on grass most of winter then on to cover crops and turnips just recently.

I don’t mind at all. We’ve got busier over the last 4 years with more and more store lambs. Something had to give. Sold suckler cows last may and April lambing ewes going now. January lambers will get weaned then sold later this summer, august probably.

Better accepting you have too much on than let job slip. Them ewes are a credit and should sell well.

Don’t take this personally it isn’t meant that way but if everyone wants just to buy store lambs, like everyone wants to buy 400kg plus store cattle, and people are culling breeding stock to do it, where are they going to come from? At least with cattle there is the dairy herd that has to keep pumping calves out, but then there seems to be no margin in them as the bankruptcies on the other thread demonstrate. I wish I had answers, but I can see an imminent collapse in livestock numbers in this country and then none of us will be busy
