June , another EID festival , dont panic yet , this festival will have plenty due to schmal , and hoggs , be a bit different next one .

Having said that when I attending the meeting the AHDB put on about the Muslim market, Qurbani specs ruled out NSL as they weren't mature enough.

But they like them untouched,.so as said, young tups in demand.

Working on weekly averages, that would mean on track for 230,000+ less going to be traded this year.....

Last year there was a lot of lambs getting bought out ring fat and shorn round about us , they were obviously holding them . Not seen it this year , think they have maybe been to dear for that job or there’s not been enough about . Either way it’s a good thing .

Last year, I made £20/head more of my blackie hoggs a fortnight after Quirbani than the week before

Too many undercooked hoggs being rushed in won’t help. Stores out the fat this week were sub £3/kg. Good types of hoggs but raw.

Man l know bought 33kg beltex lmbs at ua for 93£ in October. Sold the most of them on Thursday would average well over 200 each. Of grass. Thats a profit. He only buys goods ones. 5 or 6 hundred.
