I have grass allotments saved but it’s been far too wet to put any newborn lambs in
Today was the first day it was anything like
Bit like most problems at the moment it needed to stop raining

Turn ewes and lambs out after lambing inside. Max flock 100 ewes with twins.

5 days after the last ones are turned out starting caking at 0.5kg/hd. The time lag is really important to prevent mis mothering.
Keep going until the grass really takes off. I don’t cake ewes with singles.

You get bang for your buck caking ewes- more milk and ewes lose condition less. That’s my thinking anyway. My vet tends to agree.,

we don't feed ewes after lambing but tempted to feed ewes with twins next year if the weather is crap and grass slow, wish we had this time

Singles get no feed after lambing
Twins get fed 0.5kg in a morning as soon as there turned out then go round again at night to make sure everything is mothered up, do that for 2 or 3 days. After that stop looking at them at night.
