Is it like a moist feed rather than a nut.i spoke to them Friday and it sounds a great feedYes I use bull beef finisher when we run out off our own , it’s a brilliant feed
Haven't had anything from them for a few years but that was our experience too. No problems other than that (and it's not a problem if you're aware of it).The dry matter is 10% less than most nuts, it stores for a month in the bags but if poured onto the floor will sweat quite heavily against the walls so needs to be used fairly quickly.
It's not a nut more of a lumpy powder with straw mixed in. You wont be able to bucket it out the bag like you would rolled barley as it settles out very tight. One yellow bucket of Bull Beef weighs 5kg whilst rolled barley weighs 10kg so there is a bit more shovelling involved if you rnt using large amountsIs it like a moist feed rather than a nut.i spoke to them Friday and it sounds a great feed
I’d be feeding through a feeder wagon so that wouldn’t be a problemIt's not a nut more of a lumpy powder with straw mixed in. 18 kilos a day. That can’t be cost effective to finish cattle eating that quantity...Absolute rocket fuel, easy to feed no stomach or feet problems, l have about 6.5-7t every 18 days. It does heat when in a pile on the floor but the cattle still eat it all, you really need to be using a batch a fortnight. I would think your cows will fly on it but be aware that ad lib they will eat between 14-18kg a day, I keep a rack of roughage in the yard as well.
I know, but I had to bring a bunch in because of no grass and this will get them away quicker than most things, no mixing ingredients just tip a bucket in a feeder. Would've blown money putting them back in the stores.18 kilos a day. That can’t be cost effective to finish cattle eating that quantity...
What is the average DLWG on that nut?I know, but I had to bring a bunch in because of no grass and this will get them away quicker than most things, no mixing ingredients just tip a bucket in a feeder. Would've blown money putting them back in the stores.
It's not a nut but more of a moist blend and bbxfr are doing from 1.5to2kg a day. What is the average DLWG on that nut?
I was just going to tag you, and there's not much John doesn't know about feeding cattle, very nice guy.Used them for years. Take our own barley into them and bring back bull beef finisher for the big cattle on ad.lib or beef 16 for the calf creep. Can have it delivered or collected in both bags or bulk. John bell feeds very large numbers of b/w bullocks (several thousand) and the feed company runs alongside the beef finishing side and he's a very nice and knowledgeable man. Recently weighed a bunch of blue x dairy steers that averaged 1.9kg/day (94kg in 49 days) and the heifers next pen along averaged 1.7kg. Absolute rocket fuel BUT it's a fairly low dry matter at 72.5% so they eat a lot of it. The performance is excellent but it's brings home how much big steers will eat at that age/weight.
There looks more straw than grub
