My Labrador is more competent at extracting biscuits from the postman whilst asleep than that bank are at doing their job.

Avoid!!

I'd be confident in saying Clydesdale have put more farms under in the last 7 years than any other, at least in this area.

We've been Lloyd's for years, still have an agricultural manager who we see once a year.

I keep him informed with my expansion plans and so far he has never questioned any borrowing.

I've no complaints.

I know 2 people who have just moved from Clydsdale/Yorkshire because they have been such a pain in the arse. 10 years ago they were very good offering keen rates to get new business but seems to be the opposite now.

I think your relationship with your manager is just as important as the bank its self
We are with hsbc don't know if they are better than the outhers but we can always get I touch with our manager if he doesn't answer the call he always calls or emails back same day

With Yorkshire lad on this one, it's not so much the bank as it is the manager. Have experienced poor managers and now with natwest and the manager is superb.last meeting was in costa coffee and she bought the drinks! Can't complain about that.

Well they have been absolutely useless with us. Supposed to be into renewable energy hence the reason why we went to them. Can we have a loan for biomass CHP plant. Sorry sir we dont do biomass. Can we have loan for 750k to install 2 x 250 kw wind turbines. Sorry sir if it had been 1.5 million then we would have considered it. What really annoys me is the newsletter whereby some if the face fits farm gets a loan and you can tell its no more than hobby farming.

Barclays is the bank my family have been with for decades. Personally I'd move to Lloyds if they moved to our local town.

Lloyds were ok, then went all call centre on us so we dumped them. Hsbc now, alright so far but not had anything to judge their actions on yet.

HSBC seem to be going back from where they came from. We've two within 10 miles shut down.

Don't know what's going on at Barclays. All staff have changed at our local branch- got hounded out by all accounts.

Introduced fees to the account we've had over 70 years with them so we've closed it down. No one wanted to talk to us and keep us.

They did get a little fine the other day so they've got to get that from somewhere.
