Best way of repairing plastic drain.

We had one out our main outlets chocked solid with sludge and roots. I have cleared the problem now but now i have a pipe with 6 - 7 hand sized holes that need repairing in over around 100m.
It is an 8 inch, non perforated plastic pipe. Normally I would slice a small section of the same pipe longways and slide it over the top but I'm not sure that is good enough in this case as the roots are quite fierce here. Any suggestions for a good fix apart from replacing the entire length?

I was once told put a hessian sack full of salt ontop of the pipe
I presume it’s working here as not had problems since

Flexseal drain couplings would be worth a shot. Cut them down the length, wrap around the pipe and then jubilee them up.

Do what you was going to do
But put some concrete around it as well
