BFF has old content back

When it went missing the lost content seemed very important but now, although it will make an interesting archive, it has lost its immediate relevance.

I was always prepared to use both forums and I still do, but I see I have 300 posts on here and 31 on BFF.

I hope both forums go from strength to strength.

I use the app on an Android and Apple tablet and Tapatalk on the iPhone. They are great enhancements to the forum. Tapatalk is especially brilliant at providing alerts on the lock screen so that, for instance, I can read and reply while waiting for the slurry tanker to fill. I swear that this reduces the tanker filling time by two-thirds.

Both forums are great. Long may they thrive.

Duck if they bring up my and your drivel of the last decade, it means I'll need your webbed feet to walk accross the combined result. As you though there is space for both and I wish both well.
From a member of the public here there are two issue I would like addressing by both chanels. SPELL CHECK and on getting to bottom of page an automatic or intuative or button that leads on to the next page of a thread.

I used to post quite regularly on BFF- now choose not to sign up to membership for two reasons-

1- It took a colossal shock to the system to get the administrators to change their aproach to moderation of the forum- where we used to see members dissapear for no apparent reason, as well as numerous posts deleted, with no explaination of why put forward (how can you work to the rules, if they're not available to read, and change on a whim?). It seems they're now willing to slacken the rope a little, take in new members from free e-mail addresses, and allow a wider range of subjects to be discussed- it's amazing how a bit of competition has helped sharpen up their act- it's too little too late in my book.

2- The history of an inability to provide a meaningful method of protecting my e-mail addresses and data is unforgivable, and I'm afraid that whilst the same lunatics are in charge of the asylum, the same could easily happen again. (I'm not saying this forum is immune to security breaches- but it appears that Clive has given assurances, which in part is more than Blue has even been able to do). The lack of security is all the more alarming, given the fact they wouldn't take free e-mail addresses, meaning that stolen e-mail addresses were relevant to businesses, rather than just [email protected] etc.

Having said that. I still have a look in a couple of times a week, to see what's posted on there- and in the main- its pretty much duplicated over here, which is no great surprise, although there's undoubtedly alot of "historic" info which will remain to be a good reference point. There does seem to be a lot of bad feeling from some members on BFF towards TFF, and I suppose only they can choose which "grudge to bear". To be frank, if they allow themselves to get wound up over bad blood between two online forums, they really need something meaningful to worry about!

BFF has all the original content back.

Huge relief not to have completely lost such a wealth if archived information!
you really believe that?its just a forum not the holy grail and if you cant farm with out constant referral to a forum for information then its time to give up.then for every post there is a counter post.the internet is great but im wise enough to know most of the stuff on it is rubbish.
