For those of us that don't have a copy.., give us the foot notes?

from Wiki

On 10 December 1908, a meeting was held in an ante-room at the Smithfield Show to discuss whether a national organisation should be formed to represent the interests of farmers. The outcome was the National Farmers' Union (NFU).

The first President, Colin Campbell, worked to get new branches off the ground, encourage membership and establish the NFU's credibility with Government, at a time when farming was going through the longest and deepest depression in its history, as imports of cheap grain and frozen meat flooded in from abroad.

in 2023 - "an ante-room at the Smithfeild show" = TFF. and today the "cheap grain and meat flooding in from abroad" is the same reason for potential revolution / desire for change

nothing new and history is rather good at repeating itself !

if you should read A Shameful harvest AG street , you realise nothing changes , even after 100 years, exactly same scenario present times

Preaching to the converted I expect, but FW is worth the sub again now, under the editorship of AM.
They do appear to be giving BFU a helpful push on this RT thing(y)

Magazines are kind of dated in this day and age but I think it's worth subscribing.

Abi Kay expose on the meat industry was well worth the funding. Andrew is writing good leaders that are intelligent and they are trying to find innovative slants.

I find the awards tedious personally.

I don't understand the whole transition stuff , we are not obligated to transition.

We'd miss it if it went.
