Big baler.

I currently run a MF 185 S1.
Great baler and parts/help from Big Bale South is great.
But we man handle/trolley a fair few for the horsey customers and the body is saying I need to go to a 70 section.
I don't bale that heavy and 6.5-7ft,
Any recommendations and any balers about?

I know a guy who bales at 4 ft so they can move them easier . We bale some as rounds at 3ft 6 so they can be rolled through a stable door. At 63 I know what you mean about wanting something lighter

I've seen a couple of cut S2 balers, over the last year or so, but didn't move on them.
But this winter my enthusiasm for hefting the bales about has waned.

The ‘cut and shut’ 185’s worked well - no reason that they wouldn’t be as good a secondhand purchase than a standard 185 I should think

Is cutting your current baler down an option? Big Bale South were always a great firm to deal with and would be best for advice.

It's probably an option, but I'd like to move to independent hydraulics.
BBS were really helpful with advice when I was looking this baler.
None of that "oh its quite old"
It was "if you don't buy it, would you mind letting know where it is"

I bale a lot at 4,6 inches for a customer who moves them on a sack barrow.

I've got an 80x50 baler , perfect for dropping off , balers are scarce though

Been offered a mint 2000 Case 530, with only 50k count.
Arn't they a Mengele?.
So I'd imagine parts will be tricky
