Bio-fungicides at T0

Always makes me chuckle when I thumb through arable farmer magazine and the like and you have XXX from agrii/hutch/agrovista ect saying how crops need the latest bio stimulant PGA and a 20 way mix of fungicide for T0 and because it's growing like a triffid because of the bio stim it'll need a special PGR of adjust ect to help rooting and increase tillers and of course it'll work in low temperatures.

Then you have the Independent agros column, TO if there's disease some teb, chuck in some Ccc, if it's really angry up the rate and add modus, as your going through chuck some MN in aswell.

Myself and colleagues finding the same. Still hasn't recovered from those frosts a few weeks ago, it seems.
I must also comment on the fact that early yellow rust rarely goes on to be a bad problem as you say the weather takes care of it, fungicides are not needed 9 out of 10 cases even in the EAST. (unless I need to sell you a fungicide!!) My opinion only !!

I looked at a few fields of Kerrin on Saturday and found a lot of dried up pustules of yellow rust(no treatment to date) so I will keep my powder dry until it is needed for when it wakes up!!, or to fit in with GS30/31.

Thats interesting. I had to clean my boots of orange yesterday afternoon after walking out of a field of LG Spotlight near Long Sutton. And in the last few days have submitted some 15 samples of yellow rust infected leaves from different fields to the UK virulence survey at NIAB Cambridge. Varieties where Yellow Rust seen. Gleam, Skyfall, Spotlight, Extase, Firefly.

I was inspecting around Sleaford and can only tell you what I found, Thank goodness I have no land around Long Sutton, also to add I was inspecting around Horncastle and Grainthorpe near Louth this afternoon and my boots were clean when I came out of several fields of Gleam, but I will be recing in 5-7 days when the crops reach GS30/31 as mentioned before.
