Bird proofing proposed steel roof

Can anyone tell me? I have a quote to re-roof an existing asbestos roofed brick shed with steel sheeting. The asbestos sheeting was pointed with cement where it contacted the brick walls, to stop birds entering.

What can be done to stop the birds coming in underneath when box profile sheeting is the roofing material?

Thank you very much solo and designndetail. That was so helpful!
I shall ask for bird exclusion fillers to be masticed in place, to be added to my quote.

All to no avail it would seem! The contractor says that non con sheeting should not be blocked against birds as it would cause corrosion. Maybe I should use fibre cement roofing sheets after all.

Your contractor is correct, in a fashion! Anti condensation sheets require ventilation at both the eaves and ridge to work properly otherwise any moisture that collects in the fleece lining will not evaporate and just drip. Fibre cement would be the better option is you want to make the building bird proof and to be honest should be cheaper than box profile with anti con.

Thank you for the advice Nose Abit. The solar contractors want me to fit steel sheets, and fibre cement has some big advantages in terms of condensation and maintenance. I think I am looking for the Third Way!

40mm composite panel? Probably the most expensive option, but no condensation and will keep the solar guys happy.

Thank you very much Nose Abit. I just contacted Steadmans. Price wise is about £15/sq. m more expensive than non con. I think the brick walls and floor would be pretty moist in winter too, but easier not to let things touch the wall than keep away from drips. Steadmans say I would need 60mm to prevent condensation.
