I've just read in the FW that a blackoat/vetch cover crop drilled in the Autumn and followed on with a spring crop is doing the job with blackgrass control.
Anyone tried this before or know where I could get the mix from?
I have a grower planting 10 has of a US mustard mix that is specifically designed for resistant black grass and ryegrass - biofumigation, to be followed by wheat late October. Anyone wanting to have a look at it had better PM me - crop in Cambridgeshire. I also have access to DSV products and you will find cover crop detail on my new website - beta testing but feel free to play around! (I will have to vet you first though!!)
can you clarify which 'way' you are referring, tah!Went to a agrovista trial last week and there was a plot that had been done in that way, looked really clean, 50% cleaner than the overwintred stubble. Drilled with a greatplains direct drill.
