Blockage sensor

Yes, wouldn’t be without mine.
They came standard so wouldn’t know about retro fitting but wouldn’t imagine it’s that hard.

I have Agtron on my Claydon as a factory fit. Not good with fertiliser in the hopper where the sensors were mounted - it took 2 years to get the troubles out of the system. They have moved over to Dickey John which seem to have a better reputation.

I looked into this about a year ago, there’s a thread on here somewhere about it.
Think it was around £6k to retro fit so I decided to get off the seat more ?

To be honest I fitted the weaving air bleeders and have had far less trouble, you can also spot a blocked coulter as it blows the seed out the top.

The Weaving air bleed pipes won’t show blockages above them. Over half the blockages on my Claydon are at the top of the pipes so the sensors are useful. The highest risk is with high seed rates or larger seed e.g. beans.

I do wind a bit of seed out each time I fill up if it’s a bit sticky and it’s easy to see which coulters are blocked. You don’t want blocked coulters in spring crops where tillering is limited and you can still see missed rows at harvest.
