Yes
And, even when I was a farmer, it wasn't arable!

If you mark on your profile what you are interested in, you won't get those either - https://thefarmingforum.co.uk/index.php?account/account-details (there was a post in Livestock to highlight this as Arable Scotland was coming up):

Dragging this up again, sorry ?
I've just had an alert about 'project lamport'
I thought my notifications were off - what am I doing wrong?

I think those notifications are set based on your profile - ie they would have gone to "arable farmers" or unknown @Chris F will know more

As per post above on the 3rd July - you need to fill in your profile. If you say you are a livestock farmer, you won't get arable alerts.

Under <<If you are a farmer, what best describes your farm? >> I have ticked 'no selection'

"No selection" is the default and means we know nothing about you, so you get everything. The assumption with using the forum is you are either trade or a farmer. If you are a farmer then one of those options will be of interest to you. Select livestock, you only get livestock alerts and webinars and so on.
