Blue Multigrade Hydraulic Oil

I’ve got a 205l barrel that we got but it’s the wrong spec so we won’t use it.
We have used about 25lts out of it but it’s just getting in the way so I want it gone.

Make me an offer!

Hi
I am in Northants, NN9.
Unfortunately I don’t have any details for the spec. We got it a few years ago from ACT. If I remember it was supposed to be a universal hydraulic oil but I couldn’t tell you any more that that apart from the fact it’s blue!

This is almost certainly a Fuchs Renolin oil suitable for excavators and, basically, hydraulic systems in loaders, telescopic loaders, shovels, skid steers and the like. Not suitable for engines or where clutch packs or wet brakes are fitted. I wouldn't risk it for something like a hydrostatic drive system unless and until you find out its exact specification.

'Multiviscosity' most probably means that it is an ISO32 and remains at a stable viscosity over a high temperature range, so is also suitable for where a ISO46 is recommended. ISO32 is near enough the viscosity of 10W engine oil.

This information is worth exactly what you paid for it. Check for yourself whether it is suitable for your particular application before use

Only thing to add to that is that ANY oil is generally better than No oil.

It'd be useful for someone who uses one of these regularly ......

Sorry, I sold it in Bletsoes online sale a couple weeks back for £95

Yes, it did come from ACT but not via Tim
Didn’t realise the thread was so old. Crikey that’s a good price. Have you sold much else in that sale I’ve read how successful they say it’s been in the market report

No, that was the only thing I sold. I was pleased with the price!

They would say that, I didn’t think it was very well publicised and catalogue was only available a day or two before the bidding started I think.
