Boris a joke

Sorry Clive, you cannot excuse Boris like that. He is the Prime minister , he is the one who leads the country. He is our elected man of the people, Who the Queen has put in charge.
Who else should be in charge?
See, this is the bit of the modern blame game I don't get. Take football for example, a team perform poorly they sack the Manager, not the coach or players, why? If it's because he was the one that hired the players, hired the coach, who hired the Manager? Why does the buck stop with the Manager?

It's actually a very good question, but not just relating to football but any leader from a PM or CEO to a general. Some people just have leadership in spades and can get their staff to do anything, often encompassing in many differing styles, but the one thing they all have in common is respect. Alex Ferguson must be a good example in a footballing analogy, gruff, blunt and didn't have time for fools or ego's but enjoyed total respect which transferred into a hugely successful team year after year until the day he left.

The really interesting figures would be to find out the true number of infections across the population and then dived by the number of deaths.
with a far higher population density, it is reasonable to assume , we have had more infections and thus more deaths, and these figures will over time balnce up as the virus spreads ever wider into the community , unless stopped before its natural ending by herd immunity, by vaccination

Just stay in France then. Doesn't affect you.

You see, for example, @turbo has liked this post, yet I have seen on hundreds of occasions, @turbo commenting on trump.
Can you see the double standards here?
Now, it is just possible that @turbo owns numerous properties in the us, has most of his family living in the us and, importantly, pays a lot of tax in the us (all of which are my own case with regard to the uk) which is maybe why @turbo thinks he is entitled to speak about the us yet thinks a Brit living away from Britain isn’t?

Tbh, it’s hard to see how this thread runs at all, as it’s as plain as day.
As an inhabitant of The World, I think it’s just very lucky that he’s only responsible for circa 60 mill folk, unlike those two lunatics over in America responsible for circa 600 mill folk between them :(

The difference is I am happy here and in what the democratically elected government are doing,I haven’t up sticks and moved somewhere else but continue to moan about the old place. I have not been telling the Americans what they should do whereas you are constantly telling us how wrong we are and our leaders are fools just because they are doing what they were elected to do

No number of good footballers will give winning performances over time, if the manager isn’t top notch. The manager is tasked with setting the strategy, followed by the tactics require to deliver that strategy, followed by the coaching and general structures, to deploy the tactics.
Thus far as PM, the Boris strategy “let’s get Brexit done”, is stuck in the mud. His major tactic of delivering the “easiest trade deal in history”, has gone tits up. The other big team in the premiership (G7), is pounced to steal Boris’s best assets NHS etc,.
Meanwhile as misfortune would have it, the squad has suffered a terrible virus, and the medical advisors and scientists at the club aren’t up to the job. On top of all that, the team captain, best player and leader, has gone on a jolly up and down the country in contravention of club rules. Boris has failed to discipline his best player, leading to wholesale dissent in the club.
Relegation to the conference league is now a distinct possibility. Gate receipts have fallen to an all time low. Season ticket holders are not renewing.
The board made up mainly of old farts who are all members of TFF, continue in public at least to say they have “full confidence in the manager”.
Nevertheless the clubs shareholders (electorate) are getting increasingly anxious about the whole situation. Indeed some big name managers are said to be under consideration to replace Boris, if the ship doesn’t right itself soon. Keith Starmer has distanced himself from the post at this time, saying his focus is to build and strengthen his own squad, ahead of a concentrated effort to win the Premiership within the next few years.
The most likely outcome in the short term is that assistant manager Gove might step in as a caretaker until an adult with a functioning brain, can be found for the longer term.
Meanwhile angry supporters pulled down a statue of ex manager Churchill after last weeks home defeat to EU Rovers!

Short version.
If you move (how far 1 mile, 10 miles, 100 miles?) you loose your right to express your opinion?
Fair enough.
I tend to disagree but that’s the joy of it (y)
