Boris a joke

Henry VIII destroyed quite a few statues round here. At one time they were seen as idolatrous. My Calvinistic roots also had no time for statues. Now we know why.

is that not what the police are for ?

anyone drestying statues should be arrested - simple

boris helps make the law, it’s not his job to enforce it

Been given “fast track” powers to arrest and detain violent protesters and have them in jail within 24 hours.
Magistrates have been told to work overtime.

Finger in the air ... I suspect more anti BML marchers will get the fast track rather than BML marchers

Plenty told us so.
As an aside I wonder what Johnson's thoughts were on say removal of the statues of say Lenin or Stalin?
The school Fiasco for you guys down in England just illustrates the paucity of linked up thought and flexible thinking, that this present UK cabinet and it's Prime Minister exhibits.

@Agrivator yip he still is Prime Minister, and what a jolly good job he is doing. Ah well still four years for him and the conservative leader at the time of next election to recover the situation.

With regard to the apparent dithering on the schools question the stance of Starmer amuses me. He has done little but to press Boris for an exit strategy. The teachers union and others warned of the dangers and the issue became an option which many have not taken up. Up steps Starmer to question Boris on the matter in defiance it seems of the advice of one of his paymasters to the Prime minister. It strikes me that Starmer has little sensible input to offer and a lot of posturing.

Great is the pity that there was not a quality right of centre opposition party, the buffoon would not have stood a chance. Johnson has been exposed for what he is.
I suppose if you have extremist views you will only be opposed by one side rather than two. Most people hover around the centre and have areas of agreement from time to time . The alternative is pendulum politics.

One trick ponies, get found out when they by necessity, are required to perform a wide range of tricks.
Therein lies the calamitous fault line in the whole Brexiteer politic spectrum. Between the whole lot of them from Farage and UKIP, to the Tory lunatic right, to the less lunatic Tory opportunists like Boris, they quite frankly are incapable of running a garden fete for the old folks home fundraiser.
Covid and the deep complexities of negotiating trade deals, have ripped the veil of any kind of competence right off their faces.
It don’t look pretty folks. Not pretty at all.
