If you have a few to do buy a length of stainless with 4 mm wall
Stainless doesn't have the rib inside and won't rust to seize post in sleeve
I think actually I used 90 mm box for post with a heavier wall as I couldn't find a good tight fit for a sleeve for 100 mm , stainless is a perfect match

Bit of grease on the bottom of the post, then a layer of newspaper, build up a couple of layers and then just concrete it in. The post will pull out no bother by hand and you'll have a socket made of concrete with no danger of the post rusting into the sleeve.

Done dozens of posts this way from 100x100 for calving pens down to 50x50 for sheep pens. Never used a metal sleeve yet.

Don’t do it, just buy the galvanised posts and sockets from agri merchants, been there and done the homemade post and sleeve thing in a cattle shed, post rusted solid in the sleeve and then snapped off when I tried to lift it out with the handler. Cue 3 hours of swearing trying to dig out the old sleeve in 2ft of solid concrete with a breaker. Now replaced with proper post and socket.

trick is to pour a bit of waste oil in the socket
