It's been announced this morning that tomorrow's Brailsford Ploughing Match has been cancelled due to wet conditions, the first time in it's history

Such a shame. Really no other option though. Standing water everywhere now.
Things need to improve rather swiftly, or the Nationals will be questionable?

Was a suggestion to postpone until next Wensday, no other matches on next week wouldn't have been a problem.

I doubt it will be rescheduled, too many trade stands, catering, exhibitions, etc involved. Similar story with the Cheshire one. Not so easy to move these big matches.

did it run in 2000 and 2012 ? surely both were wetter years?

got a phone call yesterday saying one I was attending in Suffolk cancelled, such a shame after all the effort organisers put in.. not too mention now I'm stuck at home I'm expected to do jobs round the house ?
